The Greenland Point Center Coalition (GPCC), made up of people from all over Eastern and Northern Maine, is working to create an organization that would continue the tradition of a children's camp for Maine children. A substantial number of individuals have utilized this facility for educational purposes and we are in hopes that the tradition for the camp will continue as just that.

Our mission is to promote healthy lifestyles and environmental stewardship by providing all children and adults, including those with disabilities, with a natural setting and programs that teach outdoor skills, leadership, ethics, and alternatives to substance abuse.

We realize this mission with a special appreciation and understanding of our Maine ecological heritage and an acknowledgement of the responsibility we have to coninue this legacy.

Our vision is to educate all people about our natural resources and importance of conserving them.

In the long term, we are expecting year round operations, offering elder hostel programs, business retreats, winter sports and snowmobiling, and school functions such as University of Maine at Machias' (UMM) Recreation Program and Washington County Community College's (WCCC) Adventure Recreation Program, all with a conservation theme, targeted to educate and preserve our natural resources.
